Technical Project Manager | Cyber Security Focused | Up to 70K

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, managing, and monitoring network-based security risks to effectively mitigate and reduce risks, considering the evolving threats associated with cloud implementations and new projects.
  • Taking ownership of network security systems and driving the review and optimization of existing processes, such as the firewall rules approval process.
  • Leveraging data collected from network tools and devices to proactively detect and address control gaps and vulnerabilities across the network.
  • Providing security advisory and expertise in the evaluation, enhancement, and selection of network security tools and controls, including firewall maintenance and management.
  • Offering technical guidance on security log analysis, feeds, and raw sources for security analytics using monitoring platforms like SIEM.
  • Mentoring team members to establish a robust process, skillset, and professional capability for in-house Network Security and Operations Management.
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to ensure proper consideration of network infrastructure changes and obtaining necessary reviews and approvals.

Requirements:

  • A university degree in Information Technology, Network Infrastructure, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in technical IT roles with experience in Network Architect or Network Security Operations positions.
  • Proven track record in designing network architectures, delivering enterprise-wide infrastructure projects, and managing teams of network engineers.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technology risk management, and industry best practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of networking essentials, including data flows, architecture, ports, protocols, and wireless technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers and switches, firewall management, and network security controls
  • Demonstrated expertise with a range of technologies, including LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructure, Cisco, F5, Fortinet, etc.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, GIAC, or CEH would be advantageous.
  • Experience with cloud migration and integration, specifically with Google Cloud, Azure, and AWS offerings.
