Rupert Channing
Rupert Channing is the founding Partner of Wellesley Partners LLP.

Prior to establishing Wellesley Partners , Rupert was the Managing Partner for Heidrick & Struggles European Financial Services Business with specific responsibility for the Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Asset Management and Insurance groups within the U.K. and Continental Europe, The Middle East and Africa.  He also served on the U.K. board of Heidrick & Struggles from 2000 – 2004.  His specialist area of expertise is within the Investment Banking sector including Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets and Leveraged finance businesses.

His career in Executive Search extends back over a period of fifteen years, working as a director of The Consulting Group prior to the sale of that firm to TMP Worldwide.  At TMP Worldwide he was appointed Global Head of the firm’s Investment Banking practice where he remained until he joined Heidrick & Struggles as a Senior Partner in January 2000.

Prior to his career in Executive Search, Rupert worked within Investment Banking for Saudi International Bank, London from 1985 – 1990.
