Christian Brun is one of the founding Partners of the firm and is responsible for our Asian Investment Banking, Global Markets and Private Equity businesses.

He relocated to Hong Kong from London to help launch the Asian business for Wellesley Partners in October 2005. Prior to founding Wellesley Partners in 2004, he was a Principal at Heidrick & Struggles, the global executive search firm, based in London, where he was part of the Financial Services Practice. There he had specific responsibility for the Investment Banking sector, where he originated and executed senior-level searches for major US and European Investment Banks in the UK and across Europe.

Christian has particular expertise in Corporate Finance, M&A and Capital Markets (DCM and ECM), which he has covered from a search perspective for ten years. He has also done significant work with clients in Private Equity and Hedge Funds. Christian began his search career at Whitehead Mann in London in 1997, before joining The Consulting Group, a London-based boutique search firm, which was subsequently acquired by TMP.

Christian has an MA (Hons) in History and an M.Phil. in International Relations from Cambridge University, where he was also awarded a College History Scholarship.

Christian was individually ranked # 1 in Investment Banking, and # 7 overall in the 2008 AsiaMoney Headhunters' Poll.
